Nathan Broadbent built a Raspberry Pi powered automated microwave oven. What is really impressive is the system remembers how to cook your favourite food by scanning the barcode.

Some folks from Zipwhip gave the Raspberry Pi Foundation an expresso machine that will make you a coffee when you text it.  Warm espresso waiting for you when you get to the office. Now that is service with an emoticon?

Alex Goodyear at Culham Centre for Fusion Energy built a video wall with Raspberry Pi computers for a fraction of the cost of a commercial system.
